Soufflet

The remote-controlled inflatable booster seats allow the chest or legs to be raised. Mobile and independent, the remote-controlled inflatable booster can be placed on the bed, on a sofa or a chair. Their height is adjustable by a simple touch on the switch.
Created with the help of textile designer Luce Couillet, Soufflet project was carried out in the context of VATEX program. A call for proposals on the theme of « Promoting textiles in furnishings and living environment » on the basis of partnerships between industrial sectors of innovative textiles and furnishings/living environment.

Financed by the DGCIS, supported by R3ilab and backed by VIA and FCBA, who have brought their precious expertise to this project, and conducted with the efficient help of CLUBTEX and their members, VATex is first and foremost a cross-disciplinary approach whose virtue is above all pedagogical, by giving food for thought and for the eyes. The involvement of two sectors- furnishings and textiles and designer tandems- products.

Modulate space in a situation of reduced mobility - From the perspective of functional and visual comfort the designer Bina Baitel, approached this project related to issues of reduced mobility. Based on the analysis of use scenarios, the project proposes innovative responses to common situations encountered at different ages and according to different situations (old age, sickness, handicap or temporary immobilization). It is addressed directly to emerging markets from the Silver Economy, focused on senior citizens’ expectations.

Vatex program has enabled the thought process on the field of uses to begin, by drawing on the functional qualities offered by technical textiles to fulfill new expectations born of our contemporary way of life.
